The Rain Overtrouser Women

An overtrouser has nothing to hold on to: it sits on the slippery face of the trouser underneath, so where the waistband sits at the back decides whether it is still up an hour later. This one is drafted on a women's pattern that carries the rise higher at the back. It is sized XS to XL, not the smallest men's size taken in at the waist. It makes no warmth of its own, so you put it on for the wet part of the day and carry it for the rest.

Waterproof overtrouser with a side zip on each leg, so it goes on standing up over the trouser you are already walking in. The back rise runs higher than the front, so the waistband clears a hipbelt instead of sitting under it. Size: XS, S, M, L, XL.

Cut on a women's pattern, narrower through the shoulder and shaped through the waist, so take your usual size. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one, because everything here is meant to be layered.

Machine wash cool and inside out, and skip the fabric softener. It coats the fibre and is the most common way people ruin the wicking on a base layer. Do not tumble dry fleece or anything waterproof. Heated pieces are washed only with the power cell removed.
