Six zipped pockets, two of them on the sleeve, and a collar that comes up over your chin. The jacket for the walk where you keep stopping to get something out.

Fleece-lined hooded softshell with a windproof face. Two zipped chest pockets, two zipped hand pockets and one on each upper sleeve, plus a blank hook-and-loop panel on each arm. The hood is sewn in and folds away behind a high stand collar — unlike the Mountain Jacket and the Wind Shell it does not come off. Size: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL.

If you are between two sizes, take the larger one — everything here is meant to be layered. Garment measurements are on the page for the pieces where the maker publishes them.

Machine wash cool and inside out, and skip the fabric softener — it coats the fibre and is the most common way people ruin the wicking on a base layer. Do not tumble dry fleece or anything waterproof. Heated pieces are washed only with the power cell removed.
