The face stops the wind and sheds a shower, the inside is backed with fleece, and the side seam is drawn in at the waist and let out over the hip, so the drawcord closes a hem that already fits. The chest pocket sits high enough to reach with a rucksack on, and the hand pockets open above the line a hipbelt crosses.

Cut on a women's pattern, narrower through the shoulder and shaped through the waist, so take your usual size. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one, because everything here is meant to be layered.

Machine wash cool and inside out, and skip the fabric softener. It coats the fibre and is the most common way people ruin the wicking on a base layer. Do not tumble dry fleece or anything waterproof. Heated pieces are washed only with the power cell removed.
